Fun with Microsoft PowerPoint, pptPlex

A colleague of mine used this for a presentation at an event I attended last week, pptPlex provides a very different way of delivering PowerPoint presentations.

From the pptPlex homepage;

pptPlex is a plug-in that explores an alternate method for presenting a PowerPoint slide deck. Using pptPlex, you can present your slides as a tour through a zoomable canvas instead of a series of linear slides.

…and from the pptPlex FAQ;

Q: What is pptPlex?
pptPlex is a research prototype developed by Microsoft Office Labs as an exploration of an alternative method of presenting Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 slides. This plug-in allows you to arrange slides on a canvas then zoom between the slides during the presentation. You can move around the canvas and show groups of slides, individual slides, or even zoom in to show a particular section of a slide.

You can download the plugin and take a look for yourself from the pptPlex homepage.
